what I don't get; once reading (I imagine with glasses that the words scroll across?) a digital book is as comfortable as a binded one in front of the fireplace does that mean the guy who wrote it only sells one?

did u see Mr. Gates vista (speech rec + screens anywhere) sound bite - does that mean he is already getting out of bed, looking at the wall and saying 25m - which starts the coffee pot, car and garage opener at the appropriate time?

i don't think it means that (hopefully). i know at the moment they are dealing with orphan works only in the case of the lawsuit. I'm not entirely sure about the rest. How the digital library will be available and how many copyrighted works will be available versus a "standard" library??? - not sure - good question.

i for one and still addicted to the "bound" version - i can't stand reading pages and pages off a computer screen.

and, no, i didn't catch Gates and the whole Vista deal. wish i did though. I have heard virtually nothing about the new operating system.

What you described with the 25m sounds damn scary in a way though!! holy crap - convenient, yes, but scary at the same time.
